The GParted team, through Curtis Gedak, had the pleasure of announcing the immediate availability for download of the popular GParted Live CD distribution used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide to partition and manage disk drives.

GParted Live 0.22.0-1 comes one day after the announcement of the Gparted 0.22.0 software on which it is based and uses the software repositories of the Debian Sid operating system as of March 23, 2015.

As expected, users will get all the new features of GParted 0.22.0. However, the big news is that GParted Live 0.22.0-1 has switched to the Systemd init system, which is also used in the upstream Debian OS as the new default system init.

“The GParted team is proud to announce a new stable release of GParted Live,” says Curtis Gedak. “This live image contains GParted 0.22.0 which now supports reading and writing file systems to disk devices without partition tables, in addition to supporting GPT partition names.”

Download GParted 0.22.0 right now from Softpedia. The GParted team is proud to report that the new stable version of GParted Live has been successfully tested on physical computers with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel GPUs, as well as with various pieces of virtualization software, including VirtualBox and VMWare.
