Just a few hours remain until the promotion ends

Insync is a Google Drive native client designed mostly for organizations and power users, but the company has allowed users to download and activate the client for free just for a single day and that day is almost over.

For reasons that are unknown, Google does not provide a Google Drive native client for the Linux platform, only for Windows and Mac OS X, which is weird to say the least. The only other company that does this is Microsoft, but they might just beat Google to the punch. So, the only other solution is to have third-party companies or developers build a client.

Insync saw that the Linux platform doesn't have a native client and they built one, that is actually extremely good. It comes with a ton of options and features, much more than what you find in a competing service, such as Dropbox for example. Also, the integration with the Linux desktop seems to be flawless. It worked very easily with Ubuntu 15.04, where we tested it, but there is no reason why it shouldn't work with pretty much everything else. In fact, the guys from Insync are covering all the major distributions, package managers, and file managers out there.

Insync is a commercial solution

The only reason why not everyone is using Insync right now is because it's actually a commercial piece of software. This tends to slow down the adoption in the Linux world, but the options for a native Google Drive are pretty limited. There were a couple of free alternatives at one point, but they are no longer maintained and updated.

The offer from Insync only lasts 24 hours, and at the time this article is published, only five hours are left. If you manage to get Insync in this interval, it will be as if you just purchased it.
