After having proposed the system firmware update functionality for the upcoming Fedora 23 Linux operating system, Jan Kurik has come up with another proposal, this time to include the Frappe framework in the acclaimed distribution.

For those of you who don't know what Frappe is, we can tell you that it is an open-source, full-stack Web framework based on the well-known JavaScript and Python dynamic programming languages and designed for developers who want to build nifty extensions and compelling apps for businesses.

"Bring to Fedora a Python Framework with active upstream community and a growing user community, please note than Fedora will become in the first distro to ship the Frappe Framework," reads the proposal.

While mostly described by Web developers around the world as a "batteries included" framework, Frappe is the Python and JavaScript framework on top ERPNext it's builded. Frappe comes with all sorts of useful APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and libraries for everything from reports to authentication.

The Frappe framework is supposed to be included in the next major version of the Fedora Linux distribution, Fedora 23, due for release sometime around the Halloween season. More details about this proposal can be found in the dedicated web page on the Fedora Wiki.
