The Fedora 20 distro won't receive any updates

We are sorry to inform all users of the Fedora 20 Linux operating system that today, June 23, was the last day when the distribution, dubbed "Heisenbug," received security patches and software updates.

The fact of the matter is that we reported the end-of-life of Fedora 20 Linux at the end of last month, to give users enough time to move to the latest release of the acclaimed operating system, Fedora 22.

Therefore, we are urging all users that still run the Fedora 20 distribution to backup all of their data and upgrade to the Fedora 21 or Fedora 22 releases, which are still supported by the Fedora Project with software updates and bugfixes for a few more months.

"If you’ve been using Fedora 20 — or even something older — now is the time to upgrade. The good news is that both Fedora 21 and the new Fedora 22 are very solid releases across all of Workstation, Server/, and Cloud — and our various alternative desktop spins and functional software bundles, too," reads the announcement.

If you want to upgrade to a newer, supported Fedora Linux operating system, please use the FedUp tool. More details and upgrade instructions can be found at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedUp.
