A fresh update has been released for the browser

Vivaldi, a web browser built by one of the Opera founders and his team, has been upgraded once more, and the developers seem to be preparing to exit Technical Preview 3 and enter the next stage, Technical Preview 4.

You might be wondering what this Technical Preview stuff is, and you would be right in doing so. You can consider this to be a preliminary version still not worthy of being called a Beta. It's still in the early stages of development, features are being added and removed constantly, and devs are still deciding on the future of the application. The fact that it spent so much time in Technical Preview 3 and the fact that they are ready to move to Technical Preview 4 could point to big changes lying ahead.

It might not seem like a big deal, but this means that we are moving a lot closer to a more stable version and that we'll soon start to see the application turn towards fixes and improvements. As you'll see, a lot of new stuff has been added in this update, and it's an interesting release.

Vivaldi is preparing to evolve

It's been some time since the previous consistent update for Vivaldi, but now it's time for us to test some interesting new features that have been added, like UI zoom or gestures.

"We have done a lot of work on bug fixing this last week, with fixes for double rendering, the dark theme, UI zoom, keyboard shortcuts, history, gestures, Speed Dial and more! Having spent the last few days killing many annoying issues, we are now really close to an updated technical preview. We hope to have a few more fixes, but we think we are almost there. How is this build feeling for you? Are you aware of any major regressions since TP3?" the developers wrote on the official blog.

There is still no time frame for Vivaldi, and it's difficult to anticipate when a stable version will be reached, but it's probably going to take a few months to see anything in this regard. You can download Vivaldi from Softpedia.
