The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition seems to be a success, and the white version of the phone is no longer available in the official Meizu store.

Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition is the most powerful phone with the Ubuntu OS on board that you can buy right now, so it's easy to understand why many users are looking to purchase one. From the looks of it, the white version has been more successful than the gold one, and now it's out of stock.

The device comes with a MediaTek 6595 CPU with eight cores (customized by Meizu), which is actually separated into an A17 2.2GHz processor and an A7 1.7GHz processor. The second one is only activated if needed.

Other features of the Ubuntu-powered handset include a 5.36-inch Sharp/JDI display with 1920 x 1152 resolution, a contrast ratio of 1100:1, 500cd/m2, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a PowerVR G6200 GPU, and 2GB dual-channel LPDDR3 RAM at 933MHz.

If you want another type of Ubuntu phone, you can choose to get either the BQ Aquaris e4.5 or the BQ Aquaris E5 HD, but these have lower hardware specs. It's also worth noting that a major update has been released for all Ubuntu phones and that a new one is already being prepared.

For now, only the gold version of the Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition is still available, but it's likely that the white one will be back in stock soon.
