The developers of the Arch Linux-based BlackArch GNU/Linux operating system have announced today, November 25, 2015, the immediate availability for download of new installation media for the distribution.

According to the release notes, the latest BlackArch ISO image has been updated to include all the security patches and software updates that have been released on the upstream Arch Linux software repositories since November 25, 2015.

More than 100 new tools have been added in the new BlackArch ISOs, along with additional fonts, multilib support, the Linux 4.2.5 kernel packages, and many updates to most of the existing tools pre-installed in the distribution.

"Today we released new BlackArch Linux ISOs. The new ISOs include over 1300 tools," write the BlackArch Linux developers in today's release announcement. "We wish to thank all of BlackArch's users, mirrors, and supporters. Thanks for your help."

In addition to the changes mentioned above, the new BlackArch installation media updates the menu entries for window managers, and adds the "vboxsf" group, which was missing from previous ISO images.
