Kornelix has informed us about the immediate availability of Fotoxx 15.12, a new feature release of the open-source image editor software for GNU/Linux operating systems.

According to the developers, Fotoxx 15.12 improves the control of the color range on the Adjust HSL feature, implements automatic trimming of images via corner markers, updates the Trim and Rotate function with support for leveling bent images via EXIF RollAngle, and improves the keyboard shortcuts.

Additionally, there's now a new button that lets users quickly add or change keyboard shortcuts, it is now possible to specify additional items for inclusion in the metadata short report, and a new version of the File Save feature has been implemented with support for keyboard shortcuts.

Fotoxx 15.12 also adds a new metadata batch report feature that lists selected metadata for the respective images, separates custom maps created by users from the standard maps, adds support for saving TIFF image files without compression, and implements a new transition effect to the slide show, which makes images turn like book pages.

Several bugs have been fixed

In addition to all the great new features mentioned above, the Fotoxx developers have also managed to fix various bugs reported by users since the previous release of the software, Fotoxx 15.11.1, making the application more stable and reliable for production use.

Among the bugs fixed, we can mention an issue with the Upright function, which was not able to go to the next image, an issue with the PT Panorama feature, which was broken due to Panorama Tools interface changes, as well as two crashes, one related to image levelling and the other one linked to the selection tool.

Below, we've attached the entire changelog of Fotoxx 15.12, which you can download right now for GNU/Linux operating systems via our website or directly from the project's official website.
